Aireon’s robust, high-fidelity data is making incredible improvements to Air Traffic Surveillance around the world. Aireon’s space-based ADS-B system receives data for any aircraft equipped with 1090 MHz / ADS-B equipped vehicles from the ground, up to a ceiling of 127,500 feet above ground level.

Airports Authority of India goes Live with Aireon System

irports Authority of India (AAI) has announced today that Aireon’s space-based ADS-B air traffic surveillance system is successfully being utilized across Mumbai, Chennai and Kolkata’s oceanic airspaces, just 18 months after signing a contract to implement the service. As the third largest airspace in the world, AAI is making significant strides towards enhancing safety and efficiency across their ever-growing, highly trafficked area.

Aireon’s Space-Based ADS-B Surveillance to Cover All ASECNA FIRs

Following nearly two years of collaboration on terrestrial surveillance between the Agency for Aerial Navigation Safety in Africa and Madagascar (ASECNA) and Aireon, the two organizations have concluded the use of space-based ADS-B for surveillance services beginning January 1st 2020 within the six flight information regions (FIRs) of ASECNA: Antananarivo, Brazzaville, Dakar Terrestrial, Dakar Oceanic, N’djamena and Niamey.
