The aviation industry is dynamic, ever changing – a 24/7, 365 machine that never stops. Aviation stakeholders – from operators to air traffic controllers to passengers to system manufacturers – need data to keep the machine moving and keep the aircraft flying safely and efficiently to their destination.
Aireon understands this. We are part of the fabric of the aviation community, and have been for years. Within our team, we have former air traffic controllers, pilots, military veterans, former air traffic controllers, pilots, military veterans, former employees of other aviation companies and from other industries – all coming together to leverage our collective knowledge, skills, and experience to bring value to our ever-growing customer base.

One of the hallmarks of our company is our Aireon Service Desk (ASD), a 24/7, 365 operation that moves at the speed of aviation. This dedicated and specialized team of professionals supports one of the most advanced aviation surveillance systems in the world. The team exists to be a support system to our customers, and extension of their internal teams, to support their safety and operational missions.
Aireon Service Desk technicians undergo a rigorous intensive training course to certify as an Air Traffic Safety Electronics Personnel (ATSEP). This level of professional development ensures that every team member meets the highest standards of technical aviation experience.
And as Aireon grows and evolves, so has the Service Desk. The Service Desk serves on the front lines of customer communications for the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) customers, as well as the growing Commercial customer base. These customers have different missions, different timelines, and different needs, and ASD needs to be responsive to all.
Our skilled team is tasked with system monitoring, customer communications and notifications – constant eyes on the system to ensure the data from the satellites is flowing to the end users.
As the aviation industry continues to innovate and move technologically forward, teams like the Aireon Service Desk prove that behind every advanced technology system, there are dedicated professionals working tirelessly to keep the skies safe and operations running smoothly.
