And that is a wrap!
The Aireon team recently participated in the CANSO Asia Pacific Conference 2024 that took place in Chengdu, China from July 8 to 11. The event hosted over 200 hundred attendees among ANSPs, Civil Aviation Organizations, Industry suppliers and relevant aviation stakeholders, who were able to discuss on the latest developments in Air Traffic Management.
Simon Hocquard, Director-General of CANSO, highlighted the diversity of the Asia-Pacific region and the unprecedented growth that its aviation market is facing, expressing the necessary support needed for the development of the aviation industry in the region throughout collaboration and innovation.
The event shared insights around the Asia Pacific ATM White Paper produced by CANSO and Think Research earlier this year, in which it identified the challenges hindering the modernization of Asia-Pacific airspace and proposed innovative solutions and actions.
The Aireon team proudly hosted a workshop showcasing the new developments using its global data set in innovative applications, tacking current aviation challenges in areas such as Flow Efficiency, GNSS Interferences and Search Applications. We were thrilled with the positive response of the attendants and the constructive discussion on the topic that followed up.
After the conclusion of the conference, CANSO announced the launch of Airspace Asia Pacific 2025, an exhibition event dedicated to air traffic development and management in the Asia Pacific region, to take place in Hong Kong in December 2025.
Thanks ATMB and CAA for hosting such a wonderful event in such a marvelous environment!
