This October, Aireon’s Commercial Data Services team took to Lisbon for the World Aviation Festival — one of the industry’s largest annual gatherings. This event brings together airlines, technology providers, data companies, and innovators from across the globe to showcase the ideas, products, and partnerships shaping the future of air travel.

Over the course of the 3-day event, our team attended dozens of talks, keynotes, and panel discussions covering everything from airline digital transformation to the role of real-time data in improving safety and passenger experience. Between sessions, we navigated a packed schedule of meetings with potential clients ranging from major system integrators to niche inflight entertainment providers and airlines themselves.
As we’ve seen throughout the year, interest in Aireon’s space-based ADS-B positional data and flight events remains high, and conversations around our upcoming 2026 product launches have generated strong engagement. Our ability to provide global coverage through a reliable, professionally hosted network, backed by Aireon’s reputation for data integrity, is what sets Aireon apart as a trusted leader in delivering dependable, high-quality data to support the future of global aviation operations.
Beyond new business development, this event also gave us a chance to connect face-to-face with one of our key channel partners, Cirium. Along with a few productive meetings with their team, we capped off the event with a lively dinner in downtown Lisbon.

These moments of genuine connection, beyond the meeting rooms and event halls, are what help build and sustain the trusted partnerships that drive our business forward.
Events like the World Aviation Festival are a cornerstone of our commercial business development strategy. By showing up and engaging directly with our target audience, we’re able to best demonstrate the tangible value of Aireon’s data.
