Aireon, the market leading provider of aviation data products and services, named Dan Pugh as its new Chief Legal Officer and General Counsel.
Pugh has more than 15 years of experience in General Counsel roles with technology-driven companies, and has been providing corporate, securities, transactional, strategic, risk management, and other business law advice to publicly traded and private corporate clients for more than 30 years. Most recently, he served as the Chief Legal and Risk Officer of GSE Systems, Inc., and as the Vice President, Associate General Counsel – Securities and Corporate of EchoStar, Inc.

Pugh holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, a Juris Doctorate from the University of Maryland Carey School of Law, and a Master of Business Administration from the University of Maryland Smith School of Business. He also holds certifications in Financial Risk Management and Sustainability and Climate Risk Management.
