It is more important than ever that global air traffic surveillance remains seamless and operational. In this day and age, Air Navigation Service Providers (ANSPs) need flexibility to adjust their operations, without overspending, while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.
Aireon’s space-based ADS-B service is bringing enhanced efficiency and safety to the Pacific Ocean corridor by providing full visibility and harmonizing the airspace with seamless air traffic surveillance. ANSPs are able to share the data within the region, allowing for improved coordination and air traffic flow management. Aireon’s business model is set up to bring efficiencies to the ANSP in every front, including cost savings. Aireon’s space-based ADS-B service is cost-effective for ANSPs because it offers a variable business model to support the unique needs and requirements of a customer, rather than a fixed pricing model.
In this webinar, Aireon experts will speak on the most recent updates to the system and data findings. Aireon customers will also join the webinar to overview their journey of implementing Aireon’s data in their airspace and what flexible options were offered to tailor to their specific needs and requirements. Aireon customer COCESNA recently completed a successful remote Implementation Service Acceptance Test (ISAT), which set the ANSP up for live operations. The teams worked diligently to complete these rigorous tests from a remote location, remaining on-schedule to go live this year, despite the difficult circumstances resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic. During the webinar, COCESNA will share the importance of regional implementation and seamless hand-offs between Flight Information Regions (FIRs) and other major drivers that led to the decision to implement Aireon’s service into their operations.
Additionally, Aireon customer, DC-ANSP, will speak on what benefits space-based ADS-B is providing for them and how MEVA is functioning as the regional network to integrate the data to their ATC system.
ICAO will round out the webinar, offering a perspective on global and regional air navigation plans, and how the implementation of space-based ADS-B in this area can contribute to a single united sky, promoting data sharing among ANSPs and creating seamless airspace.
We hope you can join us to learn how space-based ADS-B can provide an unprecedented level of visibility, harmonization and flexibility in every kind of airspace.
